Safe Wrapping Tips

Red Nose recommends lightweight cotton or muslin wraps for newborns. Wrap firmly but leave room for hip movement. Stop wrapping at the first signs of rolling or at 3 months, whichever comes first.

Dress baby as you would dress yourself for the room. Keep their head and face uncovered at all times. Check their tummy or back to gauge warmth. Cool hands and feet are normal. If they feel hot, sweaty or clammy, take a layer off.

A Note on the Sleep Space

Red Nose recommends keeping the sleep space clear. Soft toys and comforters should stay out of the cot until at least 7 months, with nothing preferred for the full first 12 months. How do I wash and care for the organic cotton and muslin pieces?

We recommend a gentle machine wash on a cold or warm cycle (up to 40°C) using a mild, eco-friendly detergent. Tumble dry on low or, even better, lay flat or line dry in the shade to maintain that beautiful buttery softness. Our organic cotton and muslin pieces actually get softer with every wash, so they'll only become more lovely over time.

Are these beige neutral products suitable as a gender-neutral baby gift?

They're perfect for exactly that!
